Full squad integrated into Quicko's processes
Our challenge was to add capacity and flexibility to Quicko's internal team. We adapted to existing standards while contributing the best of our own processes. Even after the acquisition by Finnish company MaaS Global, VX continued as the technology partner.
Retention
We needed to understand users and drive app engagement. We created an evaluation process and a benefits club — testing various UI/UX approaches and using gamification as a strategy, letting users accumulate points to redeem for transit passes, event tickets, and mobile top-ups.
Modal integration
We integrated Quicko with multiple payment methods tied to public transport — a significant challenge, as each municipality uses different protocols and vendors. We also integrated private-sector payment systems.
New registration & login
We studied user behavior and created a step-by-step registration and login system — easy, intuitive, and fast — with Facebook and Google sign-in support, so users don't waste a single minute.
Acquired by MaaS Global
Operating in Brazil's largest cities, Quicko was incorporated into the MaaS Global portfolio — owner of the Whim app, with presence in Helsinki, Madrid, Vienna, Geneva, Brussels, and Tokyo.
Beyond territorial expansion, MaaS gained synergy between the technologies deployed across each app — an international recognition of the quality of work delivered by VX.
