Legacy Challenges

In the private pension segment, Conduent consolidated itself as one of the leading BPO providers. Its system, developed organically over time, grew from immediate client and team demands — favoring quick fixes that fueled business growth.

However, this rapid growth brought significant technical challenges: increased system complexity and a problem-resolution capacity that lagged behind demand. This jeopardized business scalability and threatened the retention of key clients.

Serving One of Brazil's Largest Private Pension Fund Managers

We restructured the client portal for pension funds — revolutionizing service delivery for dozens of companies housing hundreds of participants. This changed how users interact with their funds, delivering transparency, multi-device accessibility, and new product offerings.

Our Approach

VX took on two missions: stabilize the service in the short term and reform the technology foundation in the medium and long term.

Agile methodology implementation

Adopting agile methodologies brought agility and efficiency by prioritizing actions and optimizing communication between technical and business teams. This integration reduced barriers, facilitated problem resolution, and fostered a more collaborative, results-oriented environment.

Impact-based prioritization

Using a GUT matrix, we identified and prioritized the issues with the greatest impact on clients and the business — enabling clearer expectation alignment and more realistic communication.

By deepening both technical and managerial understanding, we structured teams more effectively and aligned them with strategic objectives. This comprehensive diagnostic enabled sustainable strategies for continuous system evolution.

The NextGen project

Based on detailed analytical mapping, we identified the need to develop a new product — internally branded NextGen. This solution was built with microservices and multitenant architecture, eliminating redundancies and optimizing operational costs.

NextGen was more than a technology upgrade — it opened doors to new commercial opportunities. With a clear and innovative vision for the future, the system attracted major expanding clients, strengthening the company's market competitiveness.
