Challenge
Sunwest Bank's challenge was to transform traditionally manual and bureaucratic banking processes—such as account opening and credit applications—into efficient and competitive digital experiences, reducing service times, eliminating paperwork, and meeting the growing demand for online services in the US financial market. The need to innovate rapidly and offer digital platforms that scale the business and improve the customer experience motivated the development of solutions like SNAP, which allows accounts to be opened in less than an hour, and other applications that modernize customer service and expand the customer base.

Smart Solution
VX delivered a digital solution to Sunwest Bank focused on removing critical friction points from banking onboarding and accelerating customer acquisition, transforming previously lengthy and manual processes into simple, fast, and conversion-oriented journeys. From a business perspective, the goal was to reduce account opening times, increase operational efficiency, and allow the bank to scale its customer base without proportionally increasing back-office and compliance costs.
The solution integrated account opening, regulatory validations, and internal workflows into a single platform, prepared to evolve and incorporate new products and segments. With this, the bank began to compete in speed and experience with digital players, maintaining governance, security, and regulatory compliance, in addition to creating a solid technological foundation to support future growth and new innovation initiatives.

Our Approach
VX's approach connects strategy and execution, starting with a deep understanding of the business, processes, and risks before any technical decision, in order to then redesign journeys, eliminate friction, and build scalable, secure, and auditable solutions, always geared towards concrete results of efficiency, growth, and operational sustainability.
Strategic Diagnosis and Alignment
VX began the work by mapping the bank's strategic objectives, operational bottlenecks, and critical growth metrics, aligning expectations across business areas, operations, risk, and technology to ensure a direct impact on acquisition and efficiency.
Redesigning Journeys and Processes
Onboarding journeys and internal workflows were redesigned, eliminating manual steps, reducing handoffs, and simplifying decisions, with a focus on conversion, response time, and customer experience.
Product Discovery and Architecture
VX conducted discovery and prototyping activities to validate value hypotheses, while defining a scalable architecture prepared for regulatory integrations and continuous product evolution.
Development and Integrations
The solution was developed from end to end, integrating banking systems, compliance services, and automated validations, ensuring security, traceability, and regulatory adherence from the source.
Testing, Adjustments, and Go-Live
Prior to going into production, functional, operational, and load tests were conducted, with adjustments based on feedback from internal teams, ensuring stability and rapid adoption by operations.
Scale, Optimization, and Continuous Evolution
With the platform in operation, VX supported the scalability of the solution, monitoring results, refining workflows, and preparing the technological foundation for new products, segments, and growth cycles for the bank.
